Hi I am Karyn India. I am new to RuneScape. I started playing RuneScape for an online graduate class requirement. Here is my story.
Karyn India was created to accomplish the tutorial area of RuneScape. My clothing is simple and conservative, unlike other female avatars I have encountered.
My first task was to poison the dragon to get out of the basement. I spend many hours figuring out how to accomplish the handling of objects in my backpack and using weapons to chop my way out.
I finally surfaced to take on the first big challenge of this avatar's life. I selected being a cooks apprentice. The cook was baking a cake for the king's birthday. I had to go find the ingredients of flour, a large egg, and milk. I actually stumbled upon the area to milk the cows. A friendly farmer allowed me to ask multiple questions so I could understand the process. The same was true for the mill. I encountered a mill worker that told me how to operate the mill. The final ingredient was a large egg. This was frustrating to me. I picked up multiple eggs, but did not realize that I did not find the proper large egg. I traveled back to the kitchen only to be told that I needed to locate a large egg. After picking up more eggs and dropping some inventory to make room for them, I once again traveled back to the kitchen. Failure again. I needed assistance from my real world son to gain the proper egg.
As I traveled back and forth from the kitchen in the castle to the egg farm, I noticed an incredible amount of killing around me. Animals were being struck time and time again until they were killed. The same scenario for humans combating one another.
I got lost many times. I ended up down by the water where there were large rats. YUCK! I passed by areas that were restricted and guarded by men that wanted my money. I did not pay to go through to these areas for fear of being robbed, lost, assaulted, or killed.
I am not sure that the delicate nature of Karyn India can survive in the virtual world of RuneScape.
