Unlikely Friendship

Charles had been explaining the equations to Colby for the passed fifteen minutes, and it only just occurred to him to ask why Colby was here. Charles paused in his explanation and turned to Colby, he found him sitting on his desk really listen to him, and trying to understand what he was saying. Than Colby notes Charles staring at him, he said:
"What? Is something wrong?"
"No, nothing wrong, I was just wondering Why you stopped by?" ask Charles cursedly
"Well, I was wondering if you could, help me understand the equations better so I could put it in my report" explained Colby unsurely
"Right… Colby why are you really here?" ask Charles agene. Then Charles gave Colby a disbelieving look and Colby gave his a sheepish look in return and said:
"Alright, I wanted to know if you wanted to hang out with me, but didn't know how to ask you?'
"So you asked about the equations?" ask Charles, not understanding why Colby didn't just ask him out right
"I didn't think you would want just hang out with me. Its not like we have much in common, I thought it give us some where to start our friendship at least" explained Colby
Suddenly Charles understood, Colby didn't want to be rejected any more then he did. Even thought they had almost nothing in common, at least Colby was brave enough to try
"Umm cool I get it, so…umm what did you have in mind" asked Charles timidly
Colby grained at him and said:
"Well, I thought we could get some food, soda, or beer, then go back to my apartment and talk and hang out"
"That sounds great, just let me get my things"
Charles smiled as he got his bag from his desk. He thought that maybe this unlikely friendship could work. As he locked hid office door he looked at Colby and found him smiling, Charles smiled back and know that everything would be ok;
