There was much to be said about a moment.
So much could happen in a moment.
A life could be taken, a new one could be. A life could be ruined, or a life renewed.
There was much to be said about a moment.
So much could happen in a moment.
A whole life could change, for better or worse,
In the course of a moment.

Moment I – Doctor Who
She would remember this moment for the rest of her life. It marked not only the start of a new beginning, but the end of a very long road. She wouldn't change anything about her life to this point, nothing about the excitement or the peril. She loved being with the Doctor, her very best friend. Her best and greatest friend and she had loved traveling with him so badly, so very very much.
But she knew that this life, with him and the TARDIS and time and space, it couldn't last forever. She was human, and he was so so much more.
She didn't think she'd ever wanted a moment to last forever before this one.
But as moments are wont to do, it passed.
"I was gonna be with you... forever. "
"I know." his whisper echoed through her very soul.
"The rest of my life... travelling... in the TARDIS. The Doctor-Donna," she paused as it truly sunk in, "No. Oh, my God..."
Shaking her head, she backed away from him, eyes filling with tears. He stepped toward her and placed his hands on her shoulders.
"I can't go back. Don't make me go back. Doctor... please. Please, don't make me go back." She could feel the anguish pouring into her words as her heart slowly broke.
"Donna. Oh, Donna Noble. I am so, so sorry." he looked at her, directly at her his sad eyes mirroring her own.
She looked up at him, panic and fear coursing through her.
"But we had the best of times. The best," he continued, before turning to a whisper, "Goodbye."
Goodbye. It was goodbye. It didn't matter that she knew it was coming. Before it was someday, it couldn't be today.
"No. No, please! Please! No, NO! No!" she yelled and screamed and cried as he closed his eyes, his fingers resting on her temples.
She felt her life with him flash before her in reverse. Every moment with him, every cherished thought and touch. Right back to the moment she appeared in the TARDIS in her wedding dress.
"NO!" she let out a final yell and her world went black.
She would never remember him. She went back to being her spoiled, snarky self-centered self.
But when she was alone, and the world was quiet, still. She could feel a buzzing in the back of her skull and she knew that she had forgotten something important, so important that her life had been changed.
And she knew was that she was never meant to remember, because some moments were more important to forget.
End.

Please review. This is my first DW and I hope I did Donna's character justice.
