You hold him close, stroking his hair, watching his eyes close. It had been such a long time since you have last seen him, or it seemed like it anyway.
You watch as he opens his eyes to look into yours and you know with absolute certainty that you love him. Forget all the people who call you a monster, who say you are cold, that you are dead inside; you feel more than many of them will ever feel in a lifetime.
"I love you, Mohinder. That is why I helped you with your problem," You gesture to Mohinder's now cleared skin. "Not another reason. Can't I not have an alterior motive?"
You watch him gasp at first, unable to believe the words that you speak, but then get to watch in pleasure as the words sink in and get graced with his shy smile.
"You...you truly do?"
"One thing I won't do is lie to you, Mohinder."
"I've longed to hear these words for so long," you hear Mohinder whisper. "I thought I never would. I love you too."
You kiss and the always present hunger was sated.
...for now.
