A/N: Hello my fellow readers! I guess I haven't reviewed at all for the past few months and I know authors like me need reviews so I have a new years resolution for ya. (and me) I will review more and give my good jobs and all that. I've been on youtube recently and my friend has made some AWESOME video stories about Miley Cyrus paired with Nick Jonas (of the Jonas Brothers) and Emily Osment paired with Joe Jonas. It's really cool so go to the lil search space for youtube and put in One in a Million Epi 1 and watch epi 2 while your at it. She's workin on epi 3 as I write. lol. I repeat, it is really cool!
Summary: Oneshot-JP/LE: There is a new years party. Just something I thought up New Years Eve. :)
Lily Evans couldn't believe the rage of the party in the Griffindor common room. Maybe, on the other hand, she could. There was always a reason to throw a party according to the Marauders, and when they threw a party, it was wild. This party, though, was a bit wilder than other parties due to the large amounts of butterbeer and firewhiskey.
Lily thought about ending the party, but it was New Years Eve! She couldn't break up the first and last party of the year.
"Lily" yelled a familiar voice of warm honey. She looked to where the delicious voice was coming from and smiled when she saw who was dodging his way trough the crowd. James Potter came up with two drinks in his hands and kissed his recently new girlfriend on the cheek.
"I thought I'd grab some butterbeer before it all ran out." he said, handing one of the mugs to Lily.
"Aww thanks," Lily said, "But you know I like the stronger liquor." She smiled mischievously when she pulled out her wand and tapped the mug of butterbeer, now of firewhiskey.
James smacked his head in mock horror. "Oh! Of course! How could I've forgot?"
"Oh shut up you git." Lily laughed and playfully slapped his arm. She had a sip of the strong and warm drink.
"Hey everyone!" a voice bellowed through the room as everyone turned to the middle of the room where Sirius Black stood on top of a table. "One minute till the clock strikes twelve!"
"Should we get him off of there before he hurts himself?" Lily asked, looking at Sirius dance on the table and give orders.
"Nah let him have his fun." James laughed.
"15. 14. 13..."
"I love the New Year. It's always a chance for new opportunities." Lily said while watching their friend lead everyone in the countdown.
"Yeah." James said. He was staring at her again. The long, beautiful red locks and green emerald eyes have always entranced him, but when she said this, she was sad.
"10. 9. 8..."
"And it's our last year at Hogwarts."
"Yeah, I suppose it is."
Lily looked up at her boyfriend. He was caught. James just smiled when he looked into her eyes. Lily smiled back and stared at the hazel orbs behind the thin black glasses. They both stared at each other for a few more moments.
"3. 2. 1... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!" The room erupted into cheers and streamers flew into the air and swirled around the whole room.
"Happy New Year Lils." James whispered, only heard by Lily.
"Just kiss me already you git." Lily whispered back as she smashed her lips against James's.
