A/N: Experimenting with some Vanitas POV poetry, because Why Not? He's not the most poetic of people so I thought it would be interesting to practice with. He's talking to Ven here.

I watch you throw it all away

All those bitter words you say

Telling her she's awful, and

Wishing someone understands

XXX

Oh, I laugh at the irony

You're blind and dumb it you can't see

"Wish someone's looking out for me" –

Those words can cut; turns out I bleed

XXX

You make this plan an easy game

Guess I should laugh, but it's a shame

You don't know just how much you've got

The friends you have, their love, their thoughts

XXX

I'm the one who's broken down

I've been beat and kicked around

Searching for my other half

You've got the light I'll never have

XXX

The perfect home, with perfect friends

But you're ready to let it end

Well I hope you're happy as you watch it burn

You'll wish you weren't too slow to learn

XXX

I'll crush them for you bit by bit

If you cared at all then you'd quit

Go home like she told you to

No, the only one to blame is you

XXX

Am I sorry? Hah, you wish,

No, I think I'll enjoy this

You had what I could never gain

In my anguish, full of pain

XXX

You had hope, you had a life

Now it's time to make that mine

So keep on running, throw it all away –

I'll claim the pieces as my fair pay.
