The grave was a silent as ever.
There weren't a lot of people who would visit her. Karen Lilica wasn't actually that much liked when she was alive.
The men who showered her with expensive gifts were quick to forget.
The girls of her guild had despised her.
Only Bob, the Master of Blue Pegasus, Hibiki and Loke bothered anymore, 3 years after her death.
Loke sighed.
He couldn't shake the feeling that something was going to happen. For almost 3 years he had survived in the Human world. He felt the last of his energy slowly being drained.
He would guess a week at most. He knew it would happen. The constant pain lacing trough his body since that fateful day was now coupled to a heaviness wearing him down. He was so tired.
A shame that he wouldn't be able to help the reconstruction of Fairy Tail. The Guild had become his new home.
Loke had chosen the Guild for 2 reasons.
First it was the only Guild in Fiore that didn't possess a Celestial Spirit mage. Being a Spirit himself, it wouldn't have been long before he as discovered for what he was.
The second thing was the feeling he got from the people. Their violent insanity reminded him of the Spirit world. Aquarius trying to drown Taurus for peeping became Erza beating up the misbehaving. Virgo was Mirajane. The quiet, dignified Capricorne (who knew where he was) like Mystogan when he decided to pop up (he may be weak but that sleeping magic didn't affect him that much anyway). So much joy and deep bonds in an seemingly unmanageable chaos.

Lucy's arrival wasn't a good surprise. She was somewhat cute, but childish. At least she was oblivious enough. He just had to avoid her and he would be able to take his secret to the grave.

In the end, he couldn't just leave without telling her his fate. He regretted it immediately after, but the deed was done. He wasn't able to disappear quietly after all. But she took offense and took it for flirting (she's not really his type actually) so maybe he didn't ruin everything.
And now he's in front that silent tomb and prepares for his final moments, finally ending his long, long existence.
