"Do you know, what it feels like for a girl? Do you know what it feels like for a girl in this world?" Madonna - What it feels like for a girl
'No', Bev thinks to herself as she hides from those nasty girls led by that alpha bitch Greta who is so afraid of her own sexuality that she projects that insecurity onto herself. 'Iam not going to give these girls the satisfaction, they will not see me cry' She thinks to herself.
The girls jeer as they poured the nasty contents of a garbage bin over the cubicle, aiming for her. She has protected her clothes from the garbage but her bags are drenched in the bin water. She waits in that cubicle for twenty minutes, no one sees her cry.
Outside she meets the new boy, they call him the "fat boy" but being bullied herself she refuses to be unkind towards another, so she calls him the "new boy" and she signs his book, showing him kindness and making his day. She warns him of the location of Henry Bowers (she deplores this boy and his gang) because she fears that what happened to her will happen to this sweet boy, Ben.
She rushes down with the group to save the home schooled boy, Mike, she couldn't put herself in his position as he was a boy of colour and no doubt being victimized for the colour of his skin and the trauma of his childhood.
She was the first to throw a well aimed rock at that bastard Henry Bowers and felt a satisfaction as she hit him square in the face.
'No, he is not going to hurt this kid while we are all here. We are stronger together and he can taunt me all he wants. I know I can make that little boy cry.'
She hits her Dad over the head with the toilet seat.
What kind of sick fuck feels entitled to touch, look at or force himself on his own daughter? Does that pig not know betrayal?
The abuse stops here.
I will kill this fuck head if I have to
My abuse is not my fault
I am not a slut
My friends love me and they are all I have
It was then she realized that she was face to face with the clown, she saw black.
She fought off Pennywise as It had her by her throat, her short arms not quite reaching Its face and if It felt pain like a regular man It would have no genitals intact with those kicks that she found herself dishing out.
It was doing Its best to scare her, even doing a silly dance for her that may have made her uncomfortable but It didn't scare her until It seized her, only then did she sense It was more afraid of her than she was of It.
The clown had nothing left to threaten with her, her father was either dead or suffering a concussion and she knew that if she survived this that she was going to stay with her auntie. She deserved better, and she had already decided that she was going to survive because she was Bev.
She wasn't afraid of this clown and though she couldn't be certain she knew that her friends were going to come for her. Bev never needed saving, nothing the clown could do to her was going to hurt her, because she knew she was a goddess.
