Hermione yelped, trying to tame the mass of curls that was her bush of hair. She had a date with Ron, and she was trying to braid the monster atop her head. She asked one of her dormmates for assistance. Her dress was a prety yellow-gold thing, with a bit of lace along the bottom, and the seam of the sleeves, which puffed. Around her waist was a Gryffindor-red bow. She wore matching red flats for footwear.

Hermione soon found herself descending the stairs from her dormitory, where Ronald was waiting for her, with a jovial smile on his two set out for Hogsmeade together, getting sweets aplenty at Honeyduke's and walking along the street. Soon the day came to a close, and it was time to return to the castle. Ron held Hermione's cheeks, kissing her softly on the lips.
