Chapter 1: the monsters

George stumbled on a loose twig as he ran, barrelling through the forest. He had jet black hair, but bone white skin. He was slightly taller than average and skinny. He turned his head to see a giant double headed snake, each neck the size of a tree trunk and the lower abdomen the size and length of half a redwood tree, stare strait into his eyes, he started to feel tired just by looking at those eyes with his own rich brown ones "snap out of it!" he thought to himself tearing his eyes away just in time to see a tree right in front of him. He closed his eyes and braced when he felt coldness on his back like a single drop of water making its way down and he opened his eyes to find the tree right behind him

"Whoa!" he exclaimed still running "maybe if I could- " he was cut off by one of the snakes heads lunging by him narrowly missing him he seized the initiative and dived to the side wrapping his arms around the thick trunk of the snakes neck and squeezed cutting of the oxygen supply to brain number one . The snake thrashed around, partly due to oxygen loss, partly to try to slide out of Georges grip. He managed to keep his hold though, slowly suffocating the snake's first head into submission. As George dived off he felt the cold feeling again and thought about the front of the snakes second head. He appeared in front of it and the snake was momentarily confused, during this time George had jabbed a hand into each eye and kicked the lower mouth. In this time George realised he has only hanging on by the snakes eyelids and struggled to find another purchase of the head, his hand slipped into a cold wet slid and George stuck his other hand finding it could easily accommodate both of them. He repeatedly kicked the snake's neck and quickly realising that this wasn't very affective, he locked his legs around the neck and tightened his grip. George noticed the eyes had a milky white sheen over them and he realised this was a stage of blindness, dropping the 7 or so feet to the ground he rolled and then dived just avoiding getting crushed by a giant snake.

He looked up, mud plastered to face, and scanned in the general direction of the snake's path. It wasn't hard to spot the giant trenches carved into the muddy ground. George stared into the distance and saw a giant yellow and green object that parted halfway through, each part had gone on opposite sides of the gigantic tree. George instantly knew this was the snake. He trudged through the mud to the snake and gaped, the blood was red and slick with blood and George had a sudden urge to touch it. As his hand wiped the mud of the scales he felt a blinding shock of energy, not dissimilar to the time when his old friend had had a sleep over and made go-go juice (A.N. go-go juice is a mix of very strong coffee energy drinks. Lucozade, powerade and strong coffee mixed up). Suddenly the monster had started disintegrating into gold dust. George saw what he thought might be a lump of ivory, but at closer inspection it turned out to be a tooth from the snake's mouth. About 1cm down from the razor sharp blade was a small hole, George realised that this was the venom sack. He ran to a small tree and jabbed in the tooth, almost instantly the tree wilted and died.

George felt the best he had for ages. "Look out monsters I'm armed!" he called out "and I'm dangerous."
