"Hey," was all he said as he entered her room. She rolled her eyes. He never knocked and it bothered her. It was one of many things that bothered her about him. He had no manners what so ever. She turned away from her computer to face him, a glare set on her face.

"Can't you knock?" She asked irritated. She was also confused as to why he was there.

"I'm sure I could, but that would be a little bit too unlike me. Don't you think?" He responded, tossing her a smirk before seating himself on her bed. She let out a sighed and stared at him.

"What do you what, Derek?" She asked and he smiled at her.

"I just wanted to say that you're not as preppy as I thought."

"Is that supposed to be a compliment in your demented world? What do you mean any way?" She said frustrated at him and she considered throwing him out then.

"It was cool that you played along with the space theme today, that's all. You know for Marty's Summer camp thing. I didn't think you had it in you." He shrugged causing her to smile.

"It was supposed to be a compliment in your demented world wasn't it!" He stood up and rolled his eyes.

"Yeah Case, it was." She smiled excitedly and jumped up out of her seat. He raised his eyebrows and went stiff as she hugged him. He quickly withdrew from her hold.

"Wow, Case, calm yourself." He laughed as he left closing her door behind him. As soon as the door clicked into place he sighed. One day that girl was going to be the downfall of everything that was Derek. The Derek before Casey came wouldn't have just had that conversation. She was changing him and He could already see the changes she was making in his life. It bothered him, but it also made him smile because no one had ever challenged his ways the way she had.

Man, that girl was something to be able to change him. Definitely something.
