A/N: Just another little one shot that got stuck in my mind, hope you enjoy!

Rather Good

Rose walked slowly around the bay waiting for the head of Torchwood Three to appear for their meeting. She was watching the dark clouds gather over the millennium center and thought to herself "Storms coming" when she heard a familiar voice calling her name. Glancing over her shoulder at the approaching figure, Rose smiled brightly at the man. "Rose, sorry I had to keep you waiting, the team was having a little difficulty with a weevil." Mickey Smith said as pulled his exgirlfriend into a hug. Rose laughed "How do you like Cardiff then? Getting alone with your team?" Mickey stepped back "Yeah, it's totally different than Torchwood London. I've only got four team members for the whole operation."

Rose nodded "I'll speak to Pete to see if we can get you a few more field agents."

All of sudden the sky darkens more and lightening explodes around them as thunder cracks the air. A piercing wale is heard as the wind picks up and swirls between them. The rift splits above them in a golden red flash and something comes barreling out toward them. Rose and Mickey take off running away from the oncoming object that slams into the ground where they had just been standing with a tremendous boom. The ground sinks in, concrete shoots up, and dust flies everywhere. Slowly they approach the impact hole as the smoke and debris clear the air. Rose gasps as she recognizes the item lying on the ground, bending she slowly reaches out and grasps the object in her hand. Slowly she pulls it out, until she's holding it in front of her wide amber eyes "Mickey" she whispers softly afraid to speak louder incase the object in her hand disappears. Mickey's dark eyes widen in disbelief as he peers closely at the object in question "How the hell did that get here? Its the..." Rose smiles as she finishes his thought "The sonic screwdriver!" before she vanishes from sight in bright blue glow.

Mickey looks around for a moment before turning to return to his office saying out loud to no one "He was always rather good at that."
