Alright everyone, Robert Jordan started this song in book 6 but he didn't finish it in the book. Mr Jordan did the first two verses and the first line of every verse. He also gave us the pattern for the chorus. I decided to finish it myself for him. Now I know that I am not the only one who has done this but that is expected. I DO NOT OWN WHEEL OF TIME. Please read and review.

The Colour of Trust

"Give me your Trust," said the Aes Sedai,

"For on my shoulders I support the sky.

"Trust me to know and to do what is best,

"And I will take care of the rest."

But Trust is the colour of a dark seed growing.

Trust is the colour of a heart's blood flowing.

Trust is the colour of a soul's last breath.

Trust is the colour of Death.

"Give me your Trust," said the queen on her throne,

"For I must bear this burden alone.

"Trust me to lead and to judge and to rule,

And no man will think you a fool."

But Trust is the sound of a grave dog's bark.

Trust is the sound of betrayal in the dark.

Trust is the sound of a soul's last breath.

Trust is the sound of Death.

"Give me your Trust," said the king on high,

"For under my rule you shall not die.

"Trust me to shield you from the Shadow's hand,

"And I will protect the land."

But Trust is the touch of an old hand failing.

Trust is the touch of last Light waning.

Trust is the touch of a soul's last breath.

Trust is the touch of Death.

"Give me your Trust," said the lady and the lord,

"And I will protect you by law and by sword.

"Trust me to stand in service to the Light,

"And I will serve with might."

But Trust is the scent of a battlefield's woes.

Trust is the scent of what the Dark One owes.

Trust is the scent of a soul's last breath.

Trust is the scent of Death.

"Give me your Trust," said the love of my life,

"And I will heal you of pains and of strife.

"Trust me to be with you and stand at your side,

"And I will Trust your stride."

But Trust is the taste of a Draghkar's kiss.

Trust is the taste of Shadowsworn's bliss.

Trust is the taste of a soul's last breath.

Trust is the taste of Death.

Alright guys, what did you think? I know it doesn't hold the rythm perfectly but it was a challange for me. I don't normally write poems/songs but I couldn't stand the thought of leaving it where Mr Jordan did. Thank you all for reading.
