Sunako's Man

"He takes only cases that he's interested in. He's a world renowned detective and a super sleuth. He's a genius, to boot and sarcastically funny. But overall," Sunako glared at the boys, "he's mine."

"EMERGENCY!!!" Takenaga shouted. There was a great panic—the last time he shouted "emergency," Obachan had come home in absolute fury when she found that they had not succeeded in turning Sunako into a Lady. "I saw it! I saw it!" he shouted.

"Saw what?" Ranmaru asked, shaking his friend.

"Sunako-chan…Sunako-chan was…"

"What? She was what?" Yuki asked.

"Kissing!"

There was a long silence. Ranmaru and Yuki looked at Kyouhei.

"That's it?" Kyouhei asked. "Shouldn't that be a good thing?"

"Kyouhei!"

"So she's making out with some guy, what's the big deal?"

"He's got to be some pervert," Takenaga growled. "He looks a lot older than us!"

"Sorry I'm late," Sunako said, entering the house.

They four boys looked at her.

She stopped and stared at them. "What?"

"Who was he!?"

"What? Who are you talking about?"

"I saw you kissing some guy just a few moments ago," Takenaga accused. "And it's Christmas, Sunako. What about Kyouhei!"

"We were never together!" Kyouhei shouted at him. "Sunako's more like my sister!"

"Kyouhei's right. We're more like a brother and sister. In fact, Kyouhei was the one who allowed him to court me."

The other three stared at him. "Who is he!?" they demanded.

"Er…"

"His name is Lawliet," Sunako snapped. "He's a world renowned detective, a super sleuth. He only takes the cases that interest him. He's a genius to boot, and sarcastically funny. But overall," Sunako glared at the boys, save Kyouhei who was nodding his agreement firmly with her, "he's mine."

That said, she walked towards her room and slammed the door.

Yuki, Ranmaru, and Takenaga looked at Kyouhei. "You approved of a guy that's probably fif—"

"He's twenty-five, and yes. I did. I mean, come on! She's dating a super sleuth that's world renowned! We've got the rent in a bag!"

Kyouhei went to his own room.

Takenaga shook his head. "They're both loony…"

"But I see his logic…"

"I guess…"

"What did he look like?"

"I didn't get a good look at him, but he's tall, probably around Kyouhei's height…you don't think he's a relative…"

"Maybe…"

And the boys mused over Sunako's mysterious boyfriend for the next week.

None of them came close to the truth:

Sunako was dating the hero of the Kira Scare.
