During a random conversation, the wonderful Javerts-Wench and I thought it would be amusing if the amis were to end up in Oz. Which of course raised the question of what they would sing. This is the re-vamped version of 'If I only had a brain' sung by...it could only be marius!

I could answer Prouvaire's musings and laugh at L'Aigle's bruisings,
console him in his pain.
Feuilly wouldn't be so edgy, I could talk with Ferre and Enjy
if I only had a brain.
I could show them that I'm witty, as any in the city.
and that I'm not insane.
I would understand my classes, all my essays would get passes
If I only had a brain.
Oh I could tell you why Joly thinks his throat is sore.
I could talk of history and battle dates galore.
I wouldn't trip and hit the floor.
If Courfeyrac was joking rudely, and Grantaire laughing crudely
The meanings would be plain.
I wouldn't end up blushing, or else stammering and flushing

I could converse with any others,debate with all my brothers
of what our brave new world would gain.
They wouldn't catch me snoozing, meetings wouldn't be bemusing
Life just wouldn't be so confusing…if I only had a brain!
