I own nothing except the words.
It was a vicious cycle. One would give the other everything, and that other would throw it away. One would comfort the other one day and the next they would try to destroy that other. Try to be the cause of their friend's pain.
It was a vicious cycle. One would shatter into pieces and the other would do the best they could to pick them up and put them back together. The next day they would be calling each other bitches. They called themselves best friends but that's not how friends are supposed to act is it? They lied to each other and cheated with each other's boyfriends or the occasional off limits ex.
It was a vicious cycle. They both knew what guy they belonged with but they fooled around with each other's property just to make the other mad or their boyfriends jealous. They knew how much it hurt the other friend but they did it any ways. That's not how best friends are supposed to act is it?
But they are Serena van der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf, the rules of friendship didn't apply to them. They were always like this. They always will be. There is no turning back time to right one of their mistakes but the know that. They know that when they do it ace but in a couple of days the wish they could. They love each other but they have a weird way of showing it.
No one else could make a friendship like that work. In every way it was impossible but it worked for them. They were the social elite and that was how they were raised and it has never failed them.
That's how Blair Waldorf and Serena van der Woodsen friendship is meant to be. There is no way to change that. They don't want to change that.
