Five years after the fall of the Mikaelson's, after Hope's 7th birthday Hayley finds herself missing them more then ever. Missing Klaus more then ever.

"Goodnight sweetheart." Hayley said and placed a little kiss to the top of Hope's head.

"Goodnight mommy." Hope's voice came out small and tired, her eyes flickering open and closed. "I love you."

Hayley smiled. "I love you to baby."

It was Hope's birthday today. It had been about five years sense the fall of the Mikaelsons, Klaus' sacrifice had allowed his siblings to remain alive in a dream world until Hayley could find a cure for all of them. Kol and Elijah suffering from deadly bites from Marcel, Rebekah hexed and Freya poisoned. Klaus had been the anchor to a spell to keep them all safe and alive.

Hayley sighed gently after about ten minuets when she heard the soft snores of her daughter, she kissed Hope's forehead, tucked her in a little tighter and flicked off the light, hesitating only briefly before walking out of Hope's bedroom.

She missed them. All of them. Rebekah, Freya, Elijah and she had even warmed up to Kol a bit despite the fact that he tried to kill her well bitten.

And of course..

She took in a deep breath as she stared at the four black coffins.

Klaus.

Her heart ached as she thought of the undying torment that he must have been going through at the hands of the person he once thought of as a son.

She felt tears pricking at her eyes.

Take care of her

She closed them tightly and shook her head, trying to push down these raw emotions that were coming to the surface for what seemed like the hundredth time.

Walking past the coffins that were stored in the attic she walked to the window, staring out of it and leaned against the wall.

I took you from Hope.. I was wrong

"I'm gonna find a way to save you, Klaus." Hayley said, her voice was trembling and tears had fallen from her brown eyes. She turned around and glanced at the four coffins.

Hayley let a small, sad grace her lips. "I am going to save all of you."

She wiped away the tears from her eyes and walked over to Elijah's coffin, hesitating there for a couple of seconds.

Hayley brought her hand to her mouth and placed a kiss on it before laying it gently on Elijah's coffin, letting out a pained breath.

She pulled herself away from the slumbering Mikaelsons and walked back downstairs, checking on Hope once, leaning against the door and watching her daughter sleep.

Hope reminded her of Klaus so much. She liked art and music and sometimes just sometimes she saw flickers of Klaus in her daughters eyes. A little glint of the devil.

Hayley smiled fondly, letting out a little laugh.

Her smiled faded only after a couple of seconds.

"You're gonna love her Klaus." Hayley whispered to herself before shutting the door, she tried not to think of how much Klaus was going to hurt knowing he had missed these years of Hope's life.

She fell asleep with Klaus and the Mikaelson's on her mind and the determination to wake them so they could save Klaus from Marcel and the pain she knew he was enduring. So Hope could meet her family.

Their family.
