Stars Fantasy

Note: An inspiration fic that came together when I read a fic where Syaoron was blind also brought together when I was practicing piano.

Disclaimer: I own nothing of the copyrighted stuff mentioned here.

Summary: Sakura was an aspiring musician, wanting to touch people's heart, her dream is shattered though when blinded, facing a world of shadows. The cocky Li Syaoron reels her back in though – treating her same as he would any other – cruelly, that may change later on…

It's amazing – those fleeting moments before assured death. It was like you knew it was going to happen. How you double-checked everything, and had an urge to apologize to every fault you made against loved ones.

To make sure you leave the world with everything tied together.

And your mind shows flashbacks of every second of every moment that held the littlest of significance.

As the world blurred, and the colors started to melt together, she closed her emerald eyes; the long beautiful lashes brushing against her cheek, her silky auburn hair framed her face in an unearthly way.

"SAKURA!"

It was different for her though, as the scarlet blood flowed to the ground, and faceless people gathered around – she saw her mother.

And the notes of the song came back to her the memory of her mother tagging along.

"Okaa-san, can you play this piece?"

She saw the little girl with the bounding pigtails open up the crisp pages of the complicated piece.

"The Phantom of the Opera: Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again… Are you sure you don't want me to play something lighter?"

"Someone call an ambulance!"

"Ie."

The haunting melody started as the chords became more complicated, she could still see her mother's fingers move gracefully along the keys, if you were to put pennies on her knuckles, they wouldn't fall.

"Will you teach this to me one day?"

"There's a pulse!"

Slowly, when the piece was ending, her mother's hypnotic voice began singing. Holding a dreamy, haunting state that rendered anyone speechless.

"Wishing you were somehow here again. Knowing we must say goodbye! Try to forgive, teach me to live! Give me the strength to try!"

The years of attempting to play like her mother came back. Those broken chords and wrong keys played. The years she spent aspiring to touch someone's, anyone's hearts, despite the numerous comments here and there.

"It's getting weaker!"

"No more memories, no more silent tears! No more gazing across the wasted years!"

The two voices started to meld, tearing her apart from the twisted reality she existed on, or this fantasy that was only temporary.

"Please… live…"

"Help me say goodbye…"

"She was hit in the head. There's a slim to none chance she'll live – and if she does, she'll be blind… Are you sure she should take the operation?"

Slowly, she felt the tickle of the wind on her neck, the voices melding, they were calling her back. In a flash, the reality with her mother was gone. Replaced with bright lights, her father stroking her limp hair, and Tomoyo yelling frantically.

"Don't say that! Slim to none isn't a chance! I don't care! I want her to live!"

Slowly, she sang the last words to the piece, the soft wind her melody…

"Help me say good bye…"

Note: I know, utter crap. Either way, the bold is the people calling out to Sakura when she fell from the accident, which was a hit and run, and the italics, is the memory of her mother back then. If you took the time to read, take the time to review. Oh, and the narrator for this chappie was light Saku's sub-conscious.
