A Little Girl Cries
A little girl cries
She lays broken
Beaten, bloody
Forgotten
Her red hair spilled on the cold ground
Her green eyes have no life
Her body, cold and exposed.
Her name: Shenko, Valina.
A little girl cries
She lays broken
Beaten, bloody
Forgotten
Why, she asked herself
Why did they hurt her?!
It's not her fault her master chose her!
She was only being faithful to him
It feels as if he's deaf to her pain
A little girl cries
She lays broken
Beaten, bloody
Forgotten
NO!
She must stop crying!
She must get up and face the world today.
She must not become the victim!
She is his Chosen One, after all!
They will pay
All in due time!
A little girl cries
Only she's not a little girl anymore.
She's a woman now
She cries harder than ever now
She lays broken
Beaten, bloody
Forgotten
All those years
Her tormentors were right—
She's nothing to no one.
Her master never loved her
He KILLED her.
He killed her and let his demon monkey son live.
A little girl cries
The woman dies
Valina's past has always been of concern to me. If's as if no one really loved the poor girl. I maintain suspicions that the true reason she left the Skeletal Circle was on the account of abuse. (I also suspect she may have been the vitcim of rape deep within the Circle) Theoris aside, I just felt depressed and channeled all my thoughts into this poem.
