Shelby got chills as Scott rubbed his index finger down her right cheekbone. It was their first night together after graduation, and it had led them exactly where they wanted it to end…with the rest of the night trying to get where they couldn't go for the past two years. For the passionate night, Scott had rented a hotel room at the fancy Marriot. Shelby had simply explained to Scott that she only wanted him, not his money, but Scott couldn't resist. He wanted their first time together to be perfect. Even though they had both been with other people before each other, they decided to make out like this was both their first times. Soon enough, Scott was kissing up and down Shelby's neck. She enjoyed it for the first few seconds, and then she hesitated.
"What's wrong?" Scott asked, trying to get back a hold of his grip on Shelby's leg.
"I've never been this nervous before." Shelby explained. "Listen to me, I sound stupid."
"Shel, we've both been in this situation before." Scott explained. "We both agreed right after graduation we'd make our time together official."
"You don't know how much I want to do this." Shelby explained. "But there are some drawbacks to this."
Scott sighed, wiping the sweat off of his upper lip. He backed away from Shelby, making himself comfortable on the bed.
"We both decided we wouldn't use protection." Shelby said.
"We're not sick Shelby." Scott told her. "And I'm not hiding anything from you."
"I know, I know." Shelby said. "But what if something happens after we do this? Say in a couple of weeks, what if I call you and tell you that I'm pregnant? What are we going to do then?"
"We'll just go with it." Scott said. "We're both adults now. If we want to have kids now, we can."
"But we're not married." Shelby said. "What will our parents think if we just show up on their doorsteps asking them to take us in because we conceived a passionate love child?"
Scott laughed.
"Why are you laughing?" Shelby asked. "This isn't funny. I'm not trying to be funny."
"I'm not meaning to laugh at you." Scott explained. "It's just the way you put the whole baby thing. Passionate Love Child. I've never heard it that way before."
"So, we both agree that if I do get pregnant, you're going to take care of me and the baby?" Shelby asked.
"Yes,ok." Scott told her. "I'll do everything in my power to protect you and our love baby. Now can we please have sex now like a normal couple? The moment's about to be ruined."
Shelby nodded.
Scott gently pushed Shelby down on her back, and began to make love to her.
