A:N/ This scene takes place right after the scene in Eclipse, when Jacob finds out that Edward and Bella are getting married. Enjoy!
"You're marrying him?!" Jacob sprang from behind the tree, in a cloud of rage. He couldn't take this anymore, and he wanted Bella so desperately.
Bella looked at Jacob in surprise, just wondering what he was doing there. But she didn't have to wonder for long, as there was only one way. Bella couldn't believe it, as she glanced up at Edward, saddened and angry. "You knew he was listening!"
"He deserved to know," Edward said, coldly.
Bella felt horror squeeze her, as Jacob turned to run away. "Wait, Jacob!" Bella called, and she went to run after him, as Edward tried to stop her. But Bella shoved Edward away.
"Jacob!" Bella called, as she found Jacob, sad and alone, in the snow, walking away in the trees.
"Jake!" Bella called after him.
"No, leave me alone!" Jacob wanted nothing to do with Bella at this point...or at least thats what he told himself.
"Jacob...kiss me!" Bella cried.
And just that sentence made Jacob feel intoxicated. How could he resist? "What...?" he whispered.
"I am telling you...to kiss me!" Bella demanded.
Jacob came walking over, slowly and solemnly. With a soft gesture, he took Bella's face and pulled her in for a kiss.
Bella, suddenly, felt her world change in that one moment that she felt Jacob's lips press against her's. It was nothing more than love. She couldn't say anymore than that. "I love you...Jacob..." she sighed, and Jacob continued to kiss her.
After a while, Bella attempted to pull back so that she could speak. "Wait for me, Jacob," she said, and she ran back to Edward.
Bella found Edward, still and sad, alone in the cold. And that was just what he was. Cold. Bella felt no warmth when she came close to him. "I...I don't know what happened..." Bella said, as she still didn't know exactly what she wanted.
Edward just tilted his head sadly. "You love him..." he said, with sorrow.
Bella had nothing to say. It was right as rain, her love for Jacob. And now, hearing it from Edward's mouth, it was even more real to her. "You're right..." she said, emotion overtaking her. "I do..."
Edward's yellow eyes opened wide with horror. He didn't expect this. He thought that his sadness would cause for Bella to pity him and feel for him, but it did the exact opposite.
"I'm sorry, Edward...as much as I ever loved you...I think...It's just too real...that I love Jacob more!" Bella finally made out.
Now Edward felt as if his heart was able to beat, it would have surely stopped with horror. He was speechless, as he began to step away from Bella. Why had he ever allowed for Jacob to hear? Why?
"Edward...it just wasn't meant to be...I'm sorry," Bella said, and with that, she couldn't bare it anymore. Bella ran back to Jacob, who had faithfully waited for her.
"Oh, Jake!" Bella cried, as she through herself into his arms. "I'm sorry that I was ever so foolish as to go with Edward! I love you, I love you!"
Jacob just gazed down at the top of her head and stroked her hair. "Bella...it's all right..." he said, gently. He was always so gentle. Always so innocent. He didn't deserve what Bella had done to him. Not one little bit.
"Jacob, I need you! Forever!" Bella cried out.
Jacob's warm body warmed up even more at the sound of Bella's plea. "Then I shall be here with you...forever," was all he said.
And with that, Bella knew it was finally the end. The end, only preparing for a new beginning. She and Jacob would be soulmates forever.
