A/N: It's really late. That's just a warning about how loopy I am. Anyway. Ever since I started my High School Gundam Wing fic, I've wanted to do a one-shot with Heero and Relena. When I first saw Gundam Wing I didn't like them that much, but as I make my way through the series, I'm seeing more from them and liking them as a couple more. Lights, camera, action.

Disclaimer: I don't own Gundam Wing, and I make no profit from this. At all, zilch, nada, nothing.

"Heero, we're just snowed in, will you stop pacing like a wild animal?" Relena sighed and shook her head. She had chosen to read, but Heero seemed intent on getting out.

"I need to get out of here." He muttered for the fifteenth time, Relena was counting, since he had tried to go out and gotten stuck in the snowdrift.

"Are you claustrophobic or something?" Relena eyed him with worry; she had never seen Heero act like this. "Sit, Heero."

With that, Heero, her very own bodyguard, pointed his gun at her.

"I took the bullets out of that earlier, don't try that on me." Relena barely glanced up from her book. "I have gotten smarter over the years, you know."

Heero set the gun on the coffee table and took a seat at the opposite end of the couch than Relena.

"You act like someone's after you." Relena did glance up from her book this time. "Is someone after you?" A pause ensued with no response from Heero. "Is someone after me?"

Heero shook his head, and then glared out the window. Relena smiled at how he looked like a little kid, staring at the snow.

"Being snowed in isn't all that bad." Relena revived her smile when Heero looked at her, but she only got an eye-twitch in return. "Heero, we're safe here, you're fine, I'm fine, and everyone's fine. Could you just relax? You're usually such a calm person, what's wrong?"

"I hate snow." Heero muttered, though it was the sort of offhand comment that usually meant something bigger was connected to it.

"Why do you hate snow?" Relena turned back to her book; if she acted like she wasn't paying attention then Heero would say more.

"I don't like the cold." Heero finally settled beside her, peering into her book over her shoulder.

Most people hate it when someone reads over their shoulder, but Relena liked it. She reveled in the feel of someone, especially Heero, being so close to her.

It seemed true for Heero as well, since when nothing else could calm him, proximity to her could.

Sometimes, closeness is all that's needed.

A/N: It's short, but A) I've never done a Gundam Wing one shot before, and I've never done standalone HeeroXRelena before either. Anyway, what did you think? What can I do better? I would love for you to drop me a review and tell me what you liked, and what you hated. Thank you for reading!
