After reading the ending of the manga, I suddenly felt... depressed.
And then I thought: What if Sasuke killed Naruto? What would it be like?
Mostly NaruSasu, takes place at the beginning of Chapter 699.
And also, I didn't exactly read the beginning of the fight so Sasuke's thoughts might seem a little OOC.
Sasuke's POV.
He's dead.
The words rang through Sasuke's mind as he stood there, staring at Naruto's broken, defeated body.
He thought he would never feel pain again.
But he was wrong.
He didn't cry. He just... remembered.
Of all the times Naruto was there to support him.
When he first left Konoha and the blonde idiot was there, yelling at him to come back.
When the Fourth Shinobi World War was over and the dumbass persuaded him to stay.
Naruto was like the wind, a supporting element that greatens the powers of flames.
They say only wind can support and magnify fire.
But without the support...
The reality clawed its way into Sasuke's broken, bleeding heart.
Naruto was gone.
The positive but dumb ninja who always was there to support his friends.
The one who had a bright present but a rejected past.
The person who, every day, vowed to become Hokage.
That dream was ripped away by the one person who knew him the best.
Sasuke screamed, a deafening sound, as he willed life back into the one he'd killed.
He didn't mean it like this.
He fell, sobbing, onto the bleeding corpse, burying his anger into the blood.
Rain came pouring down as Sasuke collasped with fatigue and sorrow over all the moments he would have never gotten to live with Naruto.
All I ever wanted...
Yeah... now that I'm reading it, it doesn't seem so emotional or sad.
Whatever. I'm too lazy to rewrite it.
I may post another edited version and/or the second half of the story, however.
