Author Note: I wrote this years ago and I have recently found it while I was sorting through everything. I didn't intend for it to be a puppyshipping poem/story but when I re-read it a couple of days ago, it seemed to fit. Written in 2007.
This is from Joey's POV after a huge argument with his lover Seto, thinking everything is over between them.
ON WITH THE STORY
As I walk along the beach
Thinking about my life
I start to think of the time I met you
A warm smile appears on my face
As I remember, our first glance
Our first touch
Our first kiss
I look out at the waves and wish you were beside me
But I have to make do with my memories
Each memory makes me smile,
Thinking of all the happiness we shared
I close my eyes as I feel cold raindrops falling softly on my skin
Everything seems so perfect, but all I want is you
Tears start to run down my cheeks as I know all I have is this
But as I listen to the cool breeze and the crashing of the ocean waves
I feel a warm sensation on my shoulder
I look behind me and I see you stood there,
With your lovely smile, that I know is always just for me
You turn me around to face you
I just can't stop smiling as you wipe away the tears that have fallen
I glance down at the golden sand below my feet as I can't believe you're here
But the truth is that you never left
I just know that one day, I will have to deal with losing you
But not now, everything is too perfect
I want to share this moment with you
I just want to remain here with you for as long as I can
Because deep down in my heart, I love you and I know I always will
