Fearless
Maiden- Has anyone ever noticed how many Taylor Swift 'Love Story', 'I'd Lie', 'You Belong With Me' and 'Our Song' fics their are? I will admit that I have used one or two of her songs in my fics, but my favorite by far has to be 'Fearless'. And since i've yet to see one using this song, I thought i'd take a crack at it! The fic takes place soon after the dance during 'Parental Bonding' R&R! And I don't own Danny Phantom or 'Fearless'.
Sam POV-
I have to say, that was the most interesting dance i've ever been to. Not only did Paulina prove to be as shallow as a mud puddle after a 2 second rain, but she even provoked me into becoming a ghost dragon! It was kinda cool to finally get my revenge though. Anyway, after mine and Danny's beief two minute dance, he led me by the hand outside. Thiers just something about the way the street looks when it's just rained. I admired the glow off the pavement while Danny led me to his car. He turned and grinned at me; knowing I didn't want the night to end and I wanted to ask him to dance just once more.
He winked at me, causing me to blush and opened the car door for me. As we drove down the street, I tried desperatly not to look at him. He was just soo handsome tonight, I couldn't help but get caught up in those icy blue eyes. He's just soo adorable and cool when he runs his hands through that messy black hair of his...absentmindedly making me want him.
We pulled into my driveway and he led me to the front door. Just as we were about to say goodnight, a crack of thunder shattered the calm night air and a bolt of lightning brightens up the starless sky. Seconds later, another downpour started; soaking our clothes. It just doesn't get better than this. Standing here in the middle of a pouring rain with the man I love and no Tucker to distract either of us or take blackmail pictures.
He smiles at me and takes my hand and drags us headfirst off the porch and into the street. Thier was a fearlessness about him that night. I don't know why, but i felt compelled to dance with him in the middle of this storm in my best dress.
The next day, he showed up at my window around noon in Phantom mode. Those electric green eyes, that i loved soo much, were staring at me with adoration and love. He asked me if I wanted to go for a drive. I smiled and said yes. An hour later, we drove slowly out of this one horse town. I wanted to stay forever in this passenger seat, I wanted to capture this moment and remember it always. Suddenly he stopped the car and put his eyes on me. The same icy cerulean that made me melt. Ever soo slowly, he leaned toward me and kissed my cheek. I could feel his warm but somehow cool breath on my neck. I blushed scarlet as he pulled away.
Later on, we stood once more in my doorway. My hands are shaking and my heart is racing. I'm not usually this way, but he pulls me close and I become fearless. This was our first kiss...It was flawless...really something to remember...fearless.
