Hey Guys, I wrote this for my own benefit. So I honestly don't mind what you think.
Characters may be a little OOC but that's my life and this is my story.
It's a sort of drabble so it has no meaning. POST Ironside.
Take Control Of Me
Roiben sat on his Unseelie throne and stared without seeing at the back of the court wall. Someone kneeled beside him.
'What's wrong?' she asked. He sighed, only she would know something was up, no matter how small.
'I've often wondered why you didn't command me that time in Faerie, Kaye. I mean, you knew my name, but still you did not and you seemed so angry. Why is that?' Roiben seemed troubled by it. Kaye sighed herself and opened her mouth to answer.
'I wanted to hurt you after you… after what you did, I wanted to humiliate you, I wanted to spit in your face and slap you. I couldn't bear you touching me and I was furious with you but as much as I wanted to hurt you in a way that you couldn't do the same to me, I loved you and couldn't bare to command you like a dog. I couldn't put a collar around your neck and drag you about. I hated the way you had given me an impossible quest but I suppose it worked out in the end,' Kaye told him, shrugging at the end.
'You could have commanded me to take you as my consort anyway. You could have taken control of me,' Roiben sighed. Kaye shook her head smiling.
'Like I said, I could never do that to you. I just love you too damn much!' she laughed. Roiben grimaced at her and took her hand.
'That's a very good thing, indeed. I may also love you too much. Too much that I did everything I could to protect you but you still ended up protecting me. So I thank you for being there even when I told you not to,' Roiben smiled at last. Kaye stopped smiling and touched his face.
'That's the first real smile I've seen in the six months since we left Hart Island. I have missed it terribly,' she said softly, it was like autumn leaving drifting to the ground. Roiben picked her up gently and sat her on his lap and, because there was no one there, he kissed her for all it was worth.
