The Worst Place on Earth
Characters: Rand A'l Thor, Ba'alzamon and the lovely Moraine
Shayol Ghul looked like many had died there! It smelt of death and suffering, the look of it burnt The Dragon Reborn eyes. He did not want to look at the marred landscape before him.
Rand looked to Dragonmount to where he was born, he smiled as the sun came up over it, catching the Heron Mark Blade and bathing it in the rosy glow of the morning sunlight. Shayol Ghul still looked dark and forbidding!
"And what is The Dragon Reborn doing in this beautiful land" came the all too familiar voice of Ba'alzamon.
"I'm not here to kill you Ba'alzamon I'm here to destroy you for what you took away from me" Rand spat at him.
Unbidden the memory of Moraines death rose in Rands mind, the grief of his wife's death still to fresh and the only thing that had kept him going was the thought of killing Ba'alzamon. Moraine spoke in his head night and day to avenge her death.
Flashback
Moraine looked at Rand as if she was considering killing him.
"Rand are you serious" she complained "Are you sure you want to go back to Emonds Field?"
But she looked so happy at the fact of settling down away from all bustle of the White Tower. Rand had never seen her look so happy after all she was Aes Sedai .
"Yes I'm serious I mean I'm done with being a puppet Moraine already the Red Ajah wants my head on a stick" Rand tried to convince his seemingly ageless wife to go back home with him
"Yes Rand A'l Thor I will go back to Emonds Field with and bear your children. "
Rand looked at her like he was going to die from happiness and he pulled her towards him and gave her chaste kiss on her lips. She laughed, Rand smiled at the sound, and he loved to hear her laugh. Suddenly there was a loud BOOM and the walls collapsed revealing Ba'alzamon. He lunged at Moraine and the blade caught her in her heart killing her instantly.
"Nooooo" Rand screamed
Flashback ends
Rand ran towards Ba'alzamon drawing his blade from its sheath while he was running the landscape blurring as he ran to kill the creature that took everything he had away from him. Ba'alzamon looked frightened for the first time, and tried to run from the Dragon Reborn but to no avail the blade seemed as if it was alive the One Power that Rand was drawing he pushed it into the blade. . Ba'alzamon screamed the sound high and girlish. The blade made a wet squelch as it entered his heart.
Rand screamed finally letting the madness show and he did what he had done so many times before as Lews Therin Kinslayer had done before him had killed himself after he had killed his family…
