"Morning." Nick greeted as he walked down the stairs and found Jackie sitting at the kitchen table drinking coffee and reading the newspaper.
"Morning, man Nicky, you aren't going to like this." Jackie said as she looked up at him.
"What's that?" He asked.
"It says here that they are moving your favorite football team to a new city." She said.
"What? They can't do that, they are one of the most wealthy franchises in the entire league, why would they do that?" He asked as he came over to read the article she was reading but she pulled it away from him.
"Jackie let me see it." He told her.
"Nope." She replied.
"Why not?" He asked.
"Because none of that is true, I made it up. Happy April Fools Day." She said with a grin.
"That is not funny Jackie, and what's even less funny is that I fell for it." He said.
She looked at him and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"Oh no, you are not just going to kiss me and expect me to forgive you." He said.
She grinned and began kissing his neck.
"Ok, maybe that will work after all." He said.
She grinned and kept kissing him for a few second and then stopped.
"Alright, I have to go get ready for work." She said as she stood up.
Nick frowned.
"April's Fools?" He asked sounding hopeful.
She laughed
"Nope, sorry, I really do have to go to work." She told him as she started up the stairs to go get dressed.
"Jacqueline Joelle, come back here." He told here.
"Sorry babe, I can't, I'll be late." She replied.
"You are terrible, you know that right?" He hollered up the stairs playfully.
"I can't hear you." She called back down the stairs, even though she had heard every word he'd said.
"Yeah right." He mumbled to himself as he sat down to read the paper, still shaking his head at himself for falling for her April Fools prank.
