I may be fast, and my name signals that, but sometimes I do need to slow down and just take a slow flight above the forest. This has helped ponyville multiple times. Like lions slowly slinking towards the town. And unfriendly ponies who hate everypony.

And that brings me to what I am currently doing. I have seen a pony and a young dragon walking towards ponyville. I didn't get a good look at them, but they might be trouble. as I land, my friends must have sensed the uneasiness coming off of me in steps forward.

"What is it rainbow dash?" she asks warily.

"Two things coming this way, traveling together. One pony and a red dragon barely into his teens. Might not be hostile, but better prepare anyway." I tell them quickly. As soon as I am done talking, everypony starts getting ready to defend the town. Let's hope it's all for nothing. Really don't like fighting dragons.

I sigh in relief as I see daylight up ahead. Me and my companion, a dark gray unicorn who is slightly emo. His name is dark fire. I am flame. I am a dragon who just became thirteen. We are looking for a place called ponyville. We have walked for days in the everfree forest to find it, so we hope we don't get turned away. We have been looking for a life of adventure, yet calm. Not what you get living in the wild.

Now, being a dragon, I don't exactly expect a warm welcome. We dragons don't have the best reputation, you've been known to eat earth ponies, unicorns, and pegasi alike. That said, I only eat some types of meat, and ponies, unicorns, and pegasi are not on the menu. At the same time, I did not expect it when I saw a bunch of ponies, unicorns, and pegasi waiting ready to fight. The other thing ready to fight was quite surprising, it was another dragon. I grinned and waved. He hesitated before waving back. A purple alicorn with pink and blue mane and tail highlights stepped forward and I instantly knew who it was. I bowed quickly.

"princess twilight sparkle! I forgot that you and your friends lived here!" I said excitedly. she looked shocked for a second before speaking.

"Well, thank you!" But before we get too friendly, what are you here for? She said, in a friendly but demanding tone.

"My friend dark fire here and I wish to stay here." I said, hopeful and fearful at the same time. Hopeful that she will accept us, and fearful that she won't. She studied dark fire before gasping in fear.

H-his cutie mark! It's a skull and crossbones! why? She asked, fear causing her voice to quiver.

"Hmm. We never figured that bit out. It just kind of appeared one day." I said, shrugging.
