This is just a bit of angsty fun I wrote this morning 'cause I'm alone at home listening to Fall Out Boy (don't judge) and waiting to be taken to my cousin's house for the day (no school cause of family issues. kinda whoop)

"It's not your fault, Jazz."

"She can have a normal life."

"I don't blame you."

"This is for the best."

"She's safer this way…Everyone is."

Excuses. That's all they were - and all for him. He didn't need them all to constantly say that this was for the best, leaving Forks. Because he knew the girl that they were leaving behind had become the centre of his family, even in such a short amount of time. They said that they wouldn't hold what happened against him, but he knew better.

Fool yourselves into thinking it's not my fault, if it makes you feel better. But I see you resenting me already.

Alice made most of those excuses. She'd smile softly and say how she didn't blame him, but he knew her better than she thought. He could feel her disappointment, and the growing feeling of resentment towards him because he had forced her to leave behind her best friend and sister. He could see that the bright spark in her eyes had dulled, along with the energetic attitude which made her Alice. And he hated himself for being the reason for the loss of that beautiful, unique side of Alice. But that was her in her entirety. She changed into someone he no longer knew.

You think I don't see that hate in your eyes? Try looking for yourself. It's as blatant as the love that it replaced.

Forks already seemed like some dream of finding hope. The missing piece to his family was still there, now just as broken as him. She lost the family as well, but in a completely different way to him. She lost them physically; they left her behind, but they would never lose that love for her. He lost them in every other way. He was still with them, every day, but they would never see him as their family again. Because they did blame him. He was the reason they lost the person who could have completed their family - And how can you forgive that?

I'm an annoyance now, aren't I? You brought me into this family, and now you have to deal with the consequence of my mistake. Isn't family grand?

Maybe in the end, that's all he ever was - Self-Destructive and Self-Loathing; Damaged and Broken. Because it was his fault they had to leave her. He's the only one without that self-control. One drop of blood, and he's suddenly ravenous. Did Alice attack her? No. Did Edward? Emmett? Rose? Esme? Carlisle?

Of course they didn't. I'm like the problem child. Every family has one, don't they? I ruin their lives, they hate me for it, but they keep me because they can't let the world take care of me. It won't stand a chance.

He will continue to live with those stares filled with hate, because everyone has to carry their mistakes with them. He'll go on knowing that it was his fault they lost her. Because he can't take it back. And it's not just her that he's lost.

I've lost them all.
