Seiji realizes how feels around for the girl that likes to read books.

He wasn't sure how it had started. He wasn't sure when it had started. He only knew it was there.
"It" being that strange feeling that seem to ignite within his chest whenever he passed the library; whenever he passed -her- class; whenever he passed her.

Indeed he had noticed her. Many times before she had. He even knew her name--Tsukishima Shizuku (before she had). He had picked up her name from the many reading cards that were tucked away in books which he had lent.

She was definitely a bookworm.

At first, he was startled of the new emotion that was somehow provoked by just a mere glimpse of the girl, who did not even know he existed. She wasn't really what one would call pretty or beautiful. Cute perhaps. And sweet also. He liked to think she was a sweet girl.

The sudden yearning in his chest wasn't so bad--once he got used to it anyway. The feeling made him happy and empowered him to keep her near. An impulsive action indeed.
She wouldn't even notice he was nearby, so he was safe just by watching her from afar.

He sometimes wondered how long he could keep silent of his feelings.
Till his patience snapped? Wouldn't that be a bit difficult? He knew for sure his patience stretched longer than anyone else's besides his grandfather's.
Till the end of the world? He doubt he would even know when the end was coming.
Till she found someone else? ... he would most likely keep silent instead of telling her out right that he liked her since Junior High.

Till it's his time? When is that?

To which his heart would only answer. Soon. Soon enough.

"Can you hear it now?" he asked softly, burying his face behind a book, with his eyes straying to look over at the girl, who sat across his chair.

Can you hear my heart whispering for entrance?

OWARI ka?

TheNekoTalks:

I'm sure not everyone knows this anime movie. It's created by Studio Gibli, who did "Mononoke Hime" (Princess Mononoke), "Majou no Takyuubin" (Kiki's Delivery Service) and "Sen to Chihiro" (Spirited away) and so on. I personally like the movie. Shizuku is such a cute girl. And Seiji... well, I just thought writing him would be interesting. Sadly, it turned out so ugly :grimaces: Anyway, I like the cats in the movie the most. The funny thing about them is that they were given their own movie in the "Return of the Cat". :hearts: Baron is cool there!

Thank you for taking your time reading this!
