Sirius Black wandered absently outside of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and stopped abruptly when he spotted the male he'd come for.

Remus was standing in the grass, nude as always after he'd spent the night as somebody else. Something else, a werewolf. The breeze brushed him softly, and he smiled in spite of it. Sirius loved watching Remus, his hidden love tucked deep inside of him.

"It's time to come back," Sirius draped the cloak he'd brought gently over his companion.

"I always like watching the sunset. It's a calm time of day. Kind of makes me forget about all of the problems of the world. Just for a second. And, it reminds me of you," Remus whispered, though his gaze was still on the landscape before him.

"How?" Sirius asked, plainly curious.

"The skies are always changing. Unpredictable. As you are," Remus smiled at him briefly, before turning his attention back towards the magnificent colors of the morning.

"We can't stay here long. If McGonagall found out, she'd have a fit," Sirius said.

"I know. Just, stay with me, for a minute?" Remus whispered.

"However long you want. I'll be here."

The stood for what seemed like forever; just enjoying the presence of each other, until Remus finally spoke, breaking the silence.

"We should head to breakfast," Remus sighed, "James will be looking for us, anyways."

They began their walk up the large gray stairs leading towards the school. Sirius followed behind Remus, sort of as a shadow behind the man.

"You know, we could come out here again tomorrow," Remus said, as they reached the door. "It doesn't just have to be under the circumstances that I went through my changes. It could just be us."

"What if it could always be us? Just us?" Sirius asked suddenly. Remus looked at him inquiringly. Sirius tried to say something, to explain the words he hadn't meant to say.

But Remus put a finger to Sirius's lips, then leaned in, and kissed him. Sirius deepened the kiss by wrapping his arms around Remus. When they parted, he said lamely, "Thanks."

Remus just laughed and led him inside.
