Hello readers, I decided to take some of my stories from an old account and publish them here. Hope you enjoy!

Chapter 1: Blood Gulch Blues

I stared through the visor on my helmet. I had been recently called on a mission by Central Command. I had been told that an army base had lost their one teammate and needed help from Freelancers. That's where I come in.

I'm a Freelancer. I was apart of a select group of soldiers. We were trained to take on the toughest missions. That was a long time ago. Now I usually take on odd jobs for small militias or occasionally the USNC. Whoever paid the most.

That brings me to where I am know. I overlook the location called Blood Gulch. It was a small valley. I can easily see the two bases. There is a red tinted one and a blue tinted base. I sigh. "Not one of these."

I occasionally get a job helping one of these "squads" in those mediocre red and blue armies. Most were incompetent. On occasion they were capable of small tasks.

I guess I needed to help the blue team or something. I climb down from stop the valley's edges. As I approach I notice two individuals. One was wearing teal armor and the other was wearing blue armor. I approach the squad I was to be assisting.

"Are you one if those freelancers command was supposed to be sending?" The teal armored on asks. I nod.

"Tucker, is this Church's friend. The Crazy dude he told us about." The blue one says to the teal one.

"Crazy dude? Sorry Whose Church?" I ask keeping my calm.

"Church, the guy whose relationship you ruined. You are Texas right?" Tucker asks.

I am a bit confused. "No my name is Pennsylvania. I know of a Texas though. Anyways what is the situation. Command called me to come help. I'm here."

"Well, to get things started off I'm Tucker and this is Caboose. Our friend was killed and we need reinforcements." Tucker explains. "The other red team is a bit more equipped with one extra man than us."

"What happened to him anyway?" I asks. Tucker points to a broken tank. "Shot by the rookie." "Right." I say cautiously.

I crack my knuckles. "Ok, Give me a second. After I survey a map I'll go wipe out the reds." I quick run inside. What were those men talking about a Texas. There were only a few of the freelancers left. After the revolt most of us went separate ways and a few died. Texas had disappeared. No one knew what her status was. Also the name they mentioned...Church. Somehow he knew Texas and if it who I thought it was...things wouldn't end pretty.

"Miss Freelancer lady?" Caboose asks. I look to him. He seemed like he was...a bit of a special case. "Yes Caboose?" I ask not wanting to startle him. If there was one thing I was always known for and that was being kind to those who deserve it. I was also known for beating those who weren't on my good side.

"I'd just thought you would like to know that the other freelancer Tex came. He was also kidnapped by the reds." He says subtly. I sigh. Of course something happened when I left for two minutes. "I'll handle this." I say.

I quickly turn on my armor function ability. It had cloaking on so I could sneak over. I needed to have a reunion with Tex.
