Summary: Just a funny thought about the New-U Stations. Contains Spoilers.

Selonianth the soldier looked up at Angel, who he now knew to be a Siren and not the AI she claimed. Not that the lie was particularly surprising, she had been working with Jack at the time.

Still, looking up at her, chained in a tube being pumped full of Eridium, Selonianth couldn't help but feel sorry for her. It wasn't a fate he'd wish on anyone, especially not his own daughter like Jack seemed to have done.

As he destroyed the last of the tubes, and Angel came sprawling out of her tube he wondered why Jack had been so frantic about her. Why wouldn't she simply be cloned at a new-u station? No one else seemed to use them... Yet it claimed it was a hyperion technology. Something weird was at work. Whatever it was, he had an idea on how to save Angel. All of the things he was personally touching seemed to come with him, weapons shields etc. Maybe... well, it'd suck to find out either way.

Wrapping his arms around Angel Selonianth put his Jakobs revolver to his temple and pulled the trigger and saw the familiar light tunnel of the New-U station. As he formed on the other side he turned his head and YES! Angel was spawning next to him.

"What... what was that?" Angel asked as she fell to her knees, the shock of the first time exitting the New-U bringing her to her knees.

"A New-U station.. isn't that one of Jack's technologies?"

"No... I've never seen that before, or any files relating to it, and I could access every file going back to the creation of Hyperion by Jack's great-grandfather. This... New-U station, that's what you said? It isn't hyperion tech." Angel shook her head. "Lets get back to the room though, we still need to grab the key."

They got back just in time to see Jack killing Roland with a shot to the chest. Selonianth was tempted to try to save him the same way he'd apparently saved Angel but something told him it wouldn't work. Possibly because Angel was only dying, not actually dead. Roland, he died instantly when the bullet shredded his heart. Whatever it was, Selonianth didn't try to save him.

The evil glare Jack leveled at him made Selonianth take a pause. "You just killed my daughter," the president of Hyperion spat at the Ex-Dahl Soldier. Selonianth turned and raised an eyebrow at Angel who had an equally confused look on her face.

He didn't get the chance to say anything though because Jack slapped some kind of collar onto Lilith when she tried to attack him for killing Roland and ordered her to kill the Vault Hunter.

Lilith's powers activated instantly, though she fortunately was able to stop herself from killing Selonianth and Angel, instead sending them through a phase-shift to Sanctuary, Marcus' storeroom specifically. When they made it back to the Raider's HQ Mordecai didn't even give Angel a funny look. Instead he greeted both of them like Angel had been there the whole time.

Just what in the name of the Vault was going on?
