Ruby could tell he was paranormal because when a lone beowulf attacked he ran his hand down its open mouth then ripped out his spinal cord.
Whilst this all happened Ruby had told her team to rendezvous back at beacon.
1 hour later..
"YOU WHAT!" Weiss screamed in shock drawing the attention of self proclaimed ass hole ,Cardin.
