This is the first chapter of my create a character story! I'll post more chapters once I start getting characters. Go to Create a Character for the House of Life for the form.
I woke up with a start and realized I was lying on a rainy wet road, in the middle of nowhere. I squinted around, trying to make out what was around. There might've been a tree in the distance, it was raining too hard to tell. Then even more frightening, I realized I didn't know who I was. I didn't know anything. I didn't even know what I looked like. I could've been an adult, a kid, maybe even an animal. Then I stared down at my hands and feet. Ok, I was definitely human and a boy at that. I glanced around desperately and found what I was looking for. A giant puddle, I ran over and stared at my reflection.
I had pale skin and pale hair. It was silvery blonde, nearly white, and dripping wet. I had hazel, greenish eyes. I looked like a ghost in the middle of the darkness. Staring at my reflection, two things came back to me. My name was Seth. I was an Egyptian magician.
Yeah, I know it sounds crazy. I wake up in the middle of no where and just happen to be a magician. Still watching my stranger reflection, I noted something else. I was wearing jeans, black converse, and a flannel long-sleeved shirt the color of parchment. I felt as if I was missing something. That's when the stick caught my eye.
I knew at once it wasn't just an ordinary stick. It was a wooden staff, just lying on the ground. I knew with the right words it could be very powerful, but also very dangerous. I'm pretty sure it was mine. At least I hoped so, I was probably the only Egyptian magician around for miles. Plus I didn't want to get arrested for theft of a magical staff. I picked it up and put it in my belt, under my shirt. I didn't want this thing getting stolen. Then I contemplated what I should do and it seems I had three options.
Go to sleep and wait for daylight for someone to come find me. (in the middle of nowhere, that could take forever, plus I would freeze to death before morning)
Try to remember how to work the staff. (I would probably end up getting killed)
Keep walking and try to find civilians.
Option three seemed like the best since it was the only one that didn't have the possibility of getting killed. In this thought process Iearned three more things about myself: I was organized, I liked making lists, and I was a pessimist. So being an Egyptian magician, memory loss victim, an organized pessimist, with only the clothes on my back and a magic staff that might possibly blow up in my face or worse, I set out to find answers. I set out to find myself.
