Harry Potter and The Song Of The Unicorn

A/N: Umm....well, first try at this. Uhh....enjoy.

Disclaimer: Harry Potter dosen't belong to me....blah, blah, blah.

Chapter one:

Harry woke up to the sound of birds outside his window. He opened his eyes, and foucused on the opened window.

"Strange....I don't remeber leaving it open...." he said groggly.

He looked at Hedwig who looked exauhsted in her cage.

A letter was on the table for Harry. He got up and went over to it. "Hedwig must have opened the window herself" thought harry. He opened it and started to read.

Dear, Harry,

How's life with the muggles? Not easy I'm guessing.
I just wanted to write you, to see how you were doing, and
to tell you that, I'm going to be a teacher at Hogwarts. It wasn't
easy for Dumbledore to convince the Ministry to let a "Criminal" into
Hogwarts, but he finally got me in, and I'm going to be teaching
Defense Against The Dark Arts. Sure, hope Snape won't be looming
over me most of the time.
Anyway, have a nice summer, and see you in a couple of weeks!

Sincerely yours,

Siruis Black

Harry smiled. It was nice to hear that Siruis would be the DADA teacher instead of Snape. Harry put on his glasses, got dressed and went downstairs, just to find an angry Petunia staring him in the eye.

"What took you so long? Get over here and finish cooking breakfast." she snapped.

Harry didn't mind it. He was used to all this yelling he got every morning.

The last two weeks of summer, left like a memory. Long, and hard. But finally Harry found himself at platform nine and three courters. He scanned the crowd of young Wizards and Witches, looking for his two friends. But before he could do anything, he felt two arms throw themselves around him. He looked down, and sure enough, just as he had guessed, Hermione was standing there, holding him in a tight embrace.

"Hey Harry!!" she said happily. Ron trotted over to them both. "Hey, Potter!!!"he said in a freindly way. "How was your summer?" asked Hermione. "Dull. As usual." Harry repiled. Fred, Gorge, Ginny, and Neville came over. Ginny and Neville were holding hands.

Harry smirked at Ginny. "Had a nice summer I see?" he asked. "Wonderful." Ginny repiled looking at Neville.Ginny had a crush on Harry for a long time.(just incase you didn't already know that) Her emotions had odviously changed with the vacation.

The train suddenly blew it's whistle.

"Comon'" said Ron pulling Harry, and Hermione into the train.

"I've got so much I wanted to tell you about" Ron said happily thrusting them into an empty compartment.

As they sat down, Ron shot away with the great time he had at The Quidditch Second World Cup(as you can see I made that up.) He told him about the winning team, every detail.

"Oh, Harry, sorry we couldn't have you over for the summer, Dumbledore sent us an Owl, saying it would be best if you stayed with those muggles. Can't exactly tell you why" said Ron.

"It's alright Ron. I understand" said Harry.

The train ride to Hogwarts was just as long as the summer had been, but finally after miles of Ron's story telling, they finally arrived that night.

The air was crisp and clean. The stars twinkled beautifully in the night sky. The moon hung full and peaceful.

Harry , Hermione, Ginny, and Neville all climbed into a boat.

"Hey, Ron. Aren't you coming?" asked Harry.

"Eh....sorry, Hagrid wanted to see me about somethin'. I gotta go. I'll see ya tommorow."

"Tommrow?" asked Harry.

But Ron was already gone.
