The love she felt for him was like no other.
Ever since the day he had resurrected her, the big brown eyes she had only shone for him.
All the moments they had spent together were so vividly in her mind even though 16 years had passed since she last saw him.
He was always on her mind, always. She'd fall asleep, only thinking of him to waking up, hoping that he would finally come back for her, like he had promised.
She would reminisce about the days they had together. Up until their final parting. He had promised her he'd come back, and she was still waiting.
Although when they were together she was a child, she had grown up, matured, but was still the same girl that he had known.
All her days were spent like this, waiting. Waiting for him, thinking about him, and wondering that maybe, he was thinking about her too.
But she couldn't wait any longer. She wanted to see him. She wanted to know what's he's been doing, and if he still remembers his promise. She had to know.
The light from the bright sun was shining through her small cabin's door. Maybe he's there, she had thought. Optimism ran through her veins. The light seemed different today, as if it were happy for the reunion that would take place.
Taking small steps towards the light, she gently grabbed the ajar door and moved it forwards, making creaking noises in the process.
The light was bright. She squinted her eyes barely being able to see anything. That's when she saw him.
"Sesshoumaru," she spoke.
"Rin," he said.
The meeting she had been waiting for so long, had finally come.
