"Wolfram, you're safe with me."
Nell stared down at Eric, her gaze so stoic but so full of emotion at the same time.
Eric felt a shudder run down his spine as he gazed right back at her, his throat wobbling nervously.
"We should... get at it.. At work. We should.." he stuttered, and Nell blinked, agreeing as her cheeks softly flushed.
"Yeah, we should probably get busy. Doing stuff. That we were doing."
The awkward silence was evident between the couple, and Nell started to break away.
Right then, Eric swallowed hard, deciding to take Callen's advice and just go for it.
He reached forwards and softly grabbed her hand, making her freeze. He paused nervously, the back of his neck prickling, and made to pull her back to him.
She stumbled, and fell into his lap, her cheeks growing dark with the most beautiful blush he had ever seen.
Shyly, Eric reached up and tenderly brushed her fringe away from her face, and she looked down, blushing darker.
"Nell," Eric murmured softly, and Nell looked up at him with a soft gulp.
"Are you all right?"
The pixie of a girl nodded silently, and her eyes flickered from his eyes to his lips.
It was Nell's turn to take a bold leap, as she leaned forwards to brush her lips over his.
The kiss was fleeting and lasted only a second, but it was enough to make Eric dizzy. Her lips were so soft.. like marshmallows.
He softly wrapped his arms around Nell's waist, holding her close as he breathed deeply. He kissed the corner of her mouth again.
"You look amazing when you're in gear," Eric admitted shyly, and Nell softly giggled.
Nothing more was said; nothing needed to be.
Nell gave him a soft hug, and another marshmallow kiss, before breaking away and standing up.
She tenderly ran a hand through his hair, before she left without another word.
