"Tell me what she looked like." Iggy demanded. He could just imagine Max grinning at him in a teasing way. But he didn't care right now. Fang and Nudge had gone to a nearby gas station with the money Max's mom had given to them to get some food. Gaz and Angel were in the one other room in the abandoned apartment doing who knew what. Iggy just hoped Angel wasn't reading his mind right now.

"Remember what I look like?" Max asked. Iggy nodded. He imagined Max looked much different now than she had as a scrawny eight year old, but whatever. "Okay, so she's got the same eyes I do. And she has really shiny pretty black curls." Okay now she was just making fun of him. Boy was he glad he hadn't asked Fang this question. He got up and started into the other room his face angry.

"Oh, Ig come on I'm sorry. Ella really liked you okay, and you liked her and that makes me happy."

Iggy suddenly turned looking off into the space above Max's head.

"Yeah, well Fang likes you and you're crazy about him so will you two just get on with it!"

Max started at Iggy with a surprised look. He'd said the same thing The Voice- Jeb- Dad had said to her that one time; that she and Fang were crazy about each other. Max wondered if it was really so obvious that even Iggy, who was blind, had noticed.

Iggy sat on the dusty floor in the next room with Gaz, Angel and Total. He had really liked Ella, but he'd only known her for a while, and he probably wouldn't see her again for a while, a really long while so he should just stop thinking about her.

Maybe he'd go with Fang on the next trip to get food, get him to describe some girls for him.

Speak of the devil, there was a clattering as Fang and Nudge came through the door. Iggy heard them each set down two bags and then he heard Max come in the room.

"Sorry Total stuff as gas stations are really expensive so we had to get you some dog food!" Nudge exclaimed as the little black Scottie rushed over to see what had been brought home.

"Oh no you did not! You better have brought me some real food for I will not stoop to eating chopped up leftover organs of who knows what shoved into a can!"

Nudge giggled evilly. "I was just kidding Total, we got "real food". Look we have hot dogs, and cola, and…" Nudge rambled on in that way she had while Max sorted through the stuff Fang and Nudge had gotten.

"Donughts!" Ig heard Angel exclaim.

"You spent ten bucks on a PAN!?" Max yelled at Fang and Nudge. "We can't carry a pan! What are we gonna do with a pan!?"

"Its small, see!" Nudge insisted "Iggy can use it, he can make eggs!" she said holding up two boxes of eggs, half of which Max imagined were broken. She looked over at Iggy and he smiled evilly. He knew the only reason she wasn't going to make Nudge or Fang take the pan back was because of what he had said.

And he really felt like some eggs. He wandered over and ruffled Nudge's already mess of hair still grinning.
