Setting ================================================================
Some time very close to when episode II is taken place, Obi-Wan Kenobi brings Anakin Skywalker to an almost deserted planet to train. They are spending the night at one of the few populated cities.

"He is the chosen one"
"He will be trained"
"No, he will not be trained; He is to old"
"I sense much fear in you"
Obi-Wan Kenobi awoke to a dark room with his heart pounding. A single bead of sweat dripped down his face. Using a very basic Jedi technique Obi-Wan began to calm down. Once calmed he frowned to himself.
Even his Jedi abilities could not stop his reoccurring dreams. As dismal as his dream was there was yet another that was far worse.
Without much attempt to fall back to sleep, he stood up and walked slowly to his personal kitchenette. He sat down and used his control over the Force to activate a strange device. In moments the device beeped and its door opened. Obi-Wan slowly brought an odd looking mug towards him with the Force.
"Hello master Qui-Gon," he welcomed. "It has been a great while since we have last spoken." Obi-Wan turned his body around and in his view was the spirit of Qui-Gon Jinn.
Qui-Gon gave a small smile and replied, "Indeed it has my friend." A few moments passed and Qui-Gon continued. "I have stayed among the living for quite awhile long, Obi-Wan, and I'm afraid my already prolonged stay must come to an end."
Obi-Wan did not need to be explained as to what he had meant. Master Qui-Gon was shortly going to move on to the after life. "Master, I understand why you must go, but I need you here," Obi-Wan pleaded. Stopping himself from saying more, he remembered an old Jedi saying; "A Jedi does not know emotion, only peace".
Qui-Gon returned an opaque stare for the plead. "Obi-Wan, you will do just fine without me," he said.
"Yes… I know," he said admitting to his partial lie. "It's the boy, Anikan. I can't train him. He is impatient and preoccupied with missing his mother and longing to see Padme`."
Qui-Gon lowered his head for a few heart beats and looked up. "It is to late to stop his training," he said in decision. "You must finish his training and lead him away from the Dark Side; as far as possible."
There was an odd thickness in the air. "Good-Bye Obi-Wan Kenobi," Qui-Gon said as he slowly faded into the darkness of the room.
Obi-Wan stared at his feet for a long period of time. "Good-bye master."
He stood up and drifted towards his bed overwhelmed with doubt and emotions. Not even a Jedi Master could calm him. Once in his bed he lie awake for hours. Calmness came to him followed by drowsiness and he fell asleep.
A dark figure walked towards him Lightsaber in hand. It's other hand held the hand of a woman; Padme`. The dream came to an end with a low almost mechanical breathing.
