Connor was on the prowl, when he saw a large buck grazing. He swiftly jumped from tree to tree, the buck was in targets range when a young boy with snow white hair came out and yelled " hey you up there, what are you doing in that tree?" The buck made a great dash for it and Connor fell from the tree. " i was hunting that buck." He said in an irritated tone. " sorry, i didn't know, wait you can see me? "Jack asked nervously. " yes i can see you what do you mean?" " I'm Jack frost most people can see me!" " so your the spirit of winter?" " yes, thats me." "Whats your name anyway?" Jack asked now in a normal tone. "Ratonhnhaké:ton" " ok...I'm not even going to try to pronounce that!" Jack said in an annoyed tone. Connor snickered. " most people call me Connor." Jack sighed in relief " good! Thats a name i can pronounce!" Connor liked the boys sense of humor. " so Jack Frost what are you doing in Davenport, Homestead?" Connors curiosity got to him. " I was just flying around no real point so I'm in Davenport, Homestead?" " wait did you say you flew here?" Connor said in awestruck. " ya i fly with the wind it takes me any place i want to go!" Jack said happily. " well, i couldn't do it without my staff!" Connor seemed interested. " so if i were to use your staff i could fly too?" Connor asked with great curiosity. " sorry it doesn't work that way..." " thats fine. I'm going up to New York, would you like to come with me?" Connor asked trying to forget the fact that his chance of flying is back at zero. " New York, I've never been there...I would love to see it!" Jack exclaimed happily. " good I could use some company." Connor replied. " don't you live with someone?" Jack asked now leaning on his staff. "I did...my mast-friend died a few years ago, the Homestead belonged to him." Jacks face grew sad. " I'm sorry for your loss." He replied kindly. "Don't worry I'm fine now, well i say we head to New York." Connor said trying to change the subject. Jacks face brightened "Alright, lets go!" Jack exclaimed.
