Day One; The Beginning
My name is Jack and I somehow got this far into the zombie apocalypse. When it broke out I was in a plane 28,000 feet up in the air. I was talking to my co pilot and Navigator when all of a sudden we felt a violent jerk in the cockpit. I checked the controls as precaution and my co pilot watched the propeller. He said to me, "Uh dude, look" so I looked. The propeller went dead. As we were watching, the navigator was nicked by a bolt that flew off the wall. He fell into his controls and was badly hurt. I told the Co Pilot I was going to go check to see if he was alive and he agreed. I felt to see if he still had a pulse and I moved my hand from his neck and I only saw blood. The Co Pilot tried to keep the nose steady as we were going down and I told him, The navigator still has a pulse but it is weak. He told me to grab the medical kit that was in the other room and to apply gauze to his neck to stop the bleeding. As I was applying it he told me in horror, "do not remove it. I did as he said and kept him as comfortable as I could until we crashed. As we neared the ground I was called to the cockpit and was told to look out the window. In horror I saw fire and building collapsing.
When we crashed we noticed we were in the middle of a field. We were carrying an armament of guns ammunition and a fortified Humvee to an air-force base to be delivered to the war over in the mid east. I went out to survey the area but not before grabbing an M16 and 4 clips of 5.56 ammo. off in the distance I heard gunshots and explosions. To my left I saw a man that was dead but moving. At that moment I began to know what was going on. I knew he was dead because his chest was blown out leaving a big gap in his torso. He began to walk towards me and I told him to stop moving but he still kept coming closer. I finally pointed my gun at him and gave him a last warning. He still came closer so I shot at him in the head. I heard more rustling in the stalks so I got back to the plane as fast as I could. I told the guys what happened and what I had to do. They both grabbed guns from a box and put them in the humvee. The navigator grabbed a M249 full auto machine gun put a silencer on the end of it and mounted it onto the humvee. While we were mounting a camera to see where the gun is firing we saw more dead people come towards us so we grabbed our guns and shot them. Luckily we were carrying navy seal weapons so they had silencers on them :) and kept the nose to a minimum to keep the sound from attracting more zombies. When we killed all of the zombies we continued to construct what we were doing and the Navigator loaded as much ammo and guns into the humvee as he could until we were done and helped him.
We rolled out as soon as we could. As we were driving along we saw people try to fight back but they couldn't and we tried to stop and help but it was to late. They were being eaten by the zombies. The people we were able to help, we provided them with weapons and ammunition. There were 2 people we came across that stood out to us. A man and his son were fighting off zombies when we noticed more coming towards them. The Co Pilot stopped and I opened fire at the zombies. Most of them fell and died when 2 came up and bit the man. We did something really stupid but the son could not bare to lose his father so we took him and his father with us. The man went to look at a map he brought with and it showed that we were just outside of Liberty City. We found the nearest bed store (yeah it sounds weird) and tried to get some rest for the next day. The mans son thought that it would be a great idea to use whatever beds we did not need to use them as barricades and the drapes to use as a protection from sight. It was a great idea since they could not see in then. We parked out back of the store and everyone dismounted. We walked inside and it was empty of zombies so we got some rest. Sadly though we had to tie up the man because he was bitten.
