Chapter 1

Brothers reunited

It was a foggy day in Bree chief village of the remnants of Arnor as a lone rider entered its gates on a black horse with red eyes yet the rider was a tall knight dressed in plate mail like the Swan Knights of Dol Amroth.

"Easy now Shadowmere" said the strange man as they went in a abandoned alley where the knight changed out of his armor and into a rangers outfit then he went into the Prancing Pony.

"I hope that crazy shroom eating Istari was right about this" Thought the stranger as he went to the bar.

"Good day young Master welcome to the Prancing Pony. Are you looking for a room or a drink?" Asked a jolly fat innkeeper

"Some Black Briar mead and have you seen a man by the name of Strider around here?"answered the man

"Ah you're one of them ranger's over there by the fire" Answered the now cautious innkeeper

"Thank you my friend and here's somthin for your troubles" said the man as he put down a bag of a hundred Septims on the table.

"I guess you rangers aren't that bad after all"muttered the innkeeper while the stranger went towards Strider

"I see that my little brother has changed his name again" said the grinning stranger

"Aranthis?!"asked the rarely surprised now shocked Strider

"Yes it's me" said Aranthis as the two brothers embraced

"I thought you were dead. Ada lost hope of finding you. Where did you go Aranthis?" asked Strider

"I went to my Mother's homeland Aragorn and as it turns out I had a prophecy to fulfill like you do" answered Aranthis

"Wait You don't mean Skyrim Legendary homeland of the heirs of Turin Turambar?!" asked the now awed heir of Isildur

"The very same tell me what trouble have you been up to these last 67 years?" asked Aranthis

"Doing what our people have done for the last thousand years brother holding the Darkness at bay." answered Aragorn

"And what of the Darkness? I have heard rumors during my journey north.. Orcs and other creatures of evil traveling south, Easterlings and Haradrim marching in force for Mordor, And tales of bands of orcs and Dunlendings traveling to Isengard for some odd reason." Aranthis said as the two sat in near darkness.

"The Shadow has risen in the East Brother. Sauron is gathering all evil to him to wage war upon the world once more." Strider said looking up once as if he was afraid that someone was listening in.

"When did this happen?" Aranthis demanded his face turning grim from the news.

"When we were down south in Rohan with king Thengel before riding out to aid Ecthelion against the Corsairs of Umbar." Strider answered before taking a drink from his mug before continuing.

"As I entered Lorien I met a woodelf from Greenwood: Legolas Thranduilion. He told me what had happened in the North. The grandson of king Thror of the lost kingdom of Erebor: Thorin Oakenshield along with Gandalf led a company of dwarves and a halfling to the Lonely Mountain in order to reclaim it from Smaug. During their journey they were captured and brought to a goblin town before escaping into Greenwood. Now corrupted by spiders and dark magic coming from Dol Guldor, the few woodsmen there call it Mirkwood now. The dwarves and halfling soon reclaimed the mountain after the wyrm was slain by a bowman of Esgaroth while Gandalf went into the dark fortress where he learned that Sauron returned and had gained the allegiance of Azog the Tormentor and his orcs to take the mountain. The White Council banished Sauron from Dol Guldor yet were unable to stop the armies of orcs from attacking the Lonely Mountain, The elves of Mirkwood and the men of Dale came to Erebor with their armies demanding Thorin to return what treasures the Wyrm stole from them while Dain Ironfoot led a army of dwarves from the Iron Hills. Soon the orcs came upon the three armies and attacked them killing Thorin and his nephews and nearly overwhelming them until Gwaihir led his eagles against the orcs with aid from Beorn the Beastman resulting in a battle of five armies.

Gandalf later found out that the hobbit that aided the dwarves had found a magic ring and found out that it was the One and so he sent me on a quest.

Earlier this year I had been hunting a creature known as Gollum for Gandalf who told me that this creature held the Ring that the hobbit Bilbo Baggins won from in a game of riddles. I found him and brought him to Thranduil who has him locked up." Strider told his brother has he cursed in several foreign tongues.

"This is grim news indeed. Where is Mithrandir now?" Aranthis asked his brother.

"Last I heard he had traveled south to Isengard to speak with Saruman and told me to stay here and wait for him or for some hobbits. One of them is Frodo Baggins who carries Isildur's Bane, along with two avalarian dragons." Strider answered causing the older man to raise his eyebrows.

"We haven't heard anything from the land of dragons since the Akallabeth. Why now have they decided to rejoin the rest of the world?" Aranhis asked while Strider simply shrugged slightly.

"I know not yet from what Gandalf told me their land was in a state of war and the dragons were nearly wiped out by one of their purple dragons known as Malefor." Strider answered.

"I see." Aranthis said as he pondered for a moment.

"I shall tell you my story brother and if you believe it let me join you on your quest." said Aranthis

"Alright Brother begin your tale from the very beginning." said Strider

"Very well Baby brother. Listen well for I will only tell it to you once." said Aranthis
