"Sir, I must insist that you come with me."
"There's no reason to," Midorima replies, effortlessly pushing up the rim of his glasses with his bandaged fingers. "You need not worry, this is meant for nothing but good luck."
"Sir, the flight attendant began again, thoroughly exasperated. "Even so, if you wish to fly on this airline, you must respect airline rules."
"Shin-chan," Takao yawned hugely. "I'm tired and it's four in the morning-I want to board the plane."
"We cannot board without my lucky item." Midorima fluidly replied. "Without it, something bad will surely happen, nanadayo."
Takao opened and closed his mouth. "Shin-chan, your lucky item today is a butcher's knife. Did you honestly expect that to pass through security?!"
"If they believed in the will of Oha Asa!"
"Sir, no matter what will of what god it is, the rule still stands. You cannot board this plane with your 'lucky item'
"If you don't allow me, I have no other choice but to cancel the flight." Midorima stiffly said.
"SHIN-CHAN!" Takao wailed, grabbing on to the hem of his jacket. "You can't just *leave
me here!"
"Who says?" Midorima said nastily. "You were the one who begged me to go with you, after all."
"And you agreed!" Takao persisted "So you can't back out now; that ticket was 500!"
"Remind me why exactly we're going to England again."
"TO TOUR LONDON."
"Which is a complete wast of time." He flatly replied.
Takao whirled around, confronting the flight attendant. "Is there absolutely no way that he can take it on board?"
She shook her head, shooting a dirty glance at Midorima. "Unfortunately," she said between her teeth, "no."
"Shin-chan, just this once." Takao pleaded, clasping his hands together. "Please."
Midorima hesitated slightly, taken back by Takao's pleading. "No."
"Shin-chan!" Takao said again, adding an extra lilt at the end. "This once!"
"...I said no." Midorima said again, looking more uncertain this time.
"...I'll make it up to you! When we get there, I'll buy you anything you want!" Takao compromised, ignoring his empty wallet.
"...Just this time, nanadayo." Midorima sighed, looking around for a place to put his item. Takao took it from his hands and threw it in the garbage. "Oy!"
