He cares too much. That is his fatal flaw. He cares too much for his family, for the ones who have never left him. He will protect them, even if they hate him for it. But those he has loved have broken him beyond repair.

Then he meets her, meets the girl who hates his guts. She doesn't submit to his charms. She thinks him evil. He courts her nonetheless.
