A/N: This is just a short one-chapter thingy. I thought it was cute. REVIEW

The library was mostly empty during lunch times and that was exactly what Ginny loved about it. There were days when seclusion was what she needed. She could be alone with her beloved books.

The books in it were not only for informational purposes. About a month before, in a fit of tears caused by Harry flirting with Hermione, Ginny ran there and discovered a fiction section. She was immediately transported to a world where knights and wizards helped kings rule, where evil was always overcome by good, and people aren't always how they come across.

Ginny was crossing the library with her books to read and sat down. It had been two days since she had reread her favorite novel. She couldn't get enough of the characters. It had been too long since she had read of Sir Carmanic defeating the evil king to win the hearts of the beautiful Lady Desiree, who truly thought he was evil, and all the people suffering under the king's rule. Ginny tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear, before standing up to see if there was a sequel on another shelf.

While reading, she walked across the library, and ran straight into someone. She fell to the floor, and went to retrieve her book. A pair of hands held it out for her and she looked up to see a pair of gray eyes.

"Here ya go, Weasley." His words shocked her. Never before had she been addressed by Draco Malfoy, without a comment about Harry being thrown in. "Or should I say Mrs. Potter." So much for being nice.

"Leave me alone, Malfoy." She stormed back to her table. Draco followed her.

He pulled up a chair and sat across from her. "Weasley, I came here to make peace. What can I do to make up for all the years of torment I've caused you?"

"Are you trying to win brownie points for Heaven?"

Draco tried to look wounded. It wasn't working. "I'm serious, what can I do?"

She sighed. What could be worse than how he treated her in the past? "You can start by calling me by my first name." Ginny closed the book and placed it to her right.

"Fine, Virginia." He pronounced every syllable of her first name.

"Now, what do you want?" Frustration was taking over her entire being.

"To talk." There was a short pause as Ginny stared at Draco skeptically. He calmly reached over and picked up her book. "Ah, Fait Crient, a very good friend of my mothers, I believe."

"You know the author?"

"Of course. We know many writers."

"Alright, Malfoy, why are you being civil with me?"

"I need to ask you something." There was another pause with Ginny staring blankly at Draco.

"Well?" She exhaled. Ginny desperately wanted to get back to Sir Carmanic and his army descending upon the city.

Draco leaned across the table and gently kissed Ginny. Who was too stunned to protest. He stood up, smirked at her and said "See you at the Yule Ball tomorrow night?"

Ginny was too mesmerized to speak. "Uh," she sputtered and smiled.

Draco stood up. "I'll meet you at eight then." He smirked and strode out the door confidently.

"Uh-huh." Ginny's eyes were wide as she watched him go out the door of the library. She stared at the door for a few minutes afterward to make sure what happened had really just happened. "Yay!" She squeaked and jumped up, taking her book with her, leapt in the air, and rushed to class. Maybe there really was a Sir Carmanic, who had always been nasty to a lady, and maybe there really could be a Lady Desiree, who would be just so happy that she had been asked to the Yule Ball.
