Story: Testing a Shinigami's Patience
Summary:Ryuk didn't care what was being said. All he wanted was the apple in Light's hand, and he was sure the boy was just testing his patience.
Disclaimer: I don't own Death Note...
He didn't care about the Kira case right then. The Death Note was one of the last things on his mind at the moment. N that he'd ever cared about the Kira case to begin with. He'd simply stated that he found Light's intentions intriguing. Right now, though, anything the brunette was saying; any mentions of anything, or any words coming out of his mouth, it either went one ear and out the other, or it didn't even make it to his ears.
He cared for nothing, except for apples, that is. His eyes cautiously followed the ripe and juicy red fruit in Light's hand, as he continued waving it around in the air. He was sure the boy was testing his patience, or trying to see how long he could go without them. After all, there's something about humans that they just love testing others' tolerance.
After what felt like an eternity, before he could anything, the apple hit the ground with a large splat. Ryuk stared down at the destroyed apple, his eyes wide in horror.
"And then we'll get him." those were the first words that Light had said, that he'd actually heard. The Shinigami looked up, ever so slightly sulking.
"You did that on purpose, didn't you, kid? That was a perfectly good apple."

A/N: I could just see Light doing something like this, because I know how Ryuk gets over his precious apples. Tell me what you think.
