A/N okay this is my first attempt at a fanfic. I'm not sure whose point of
few it is except that it's not Harm or Mac. I'm leaning towards it being
either Tiner or Coates. It's thoughts on the life and death of Loren
Singer. This hasn't been beta'd so any mistakes are mine.
Feedback welcomed and appreciated.
So Lieutenant Witch is dead. Actually that's not fair, she wasn't really a witch. She was just very ambitious and willing to do whatever it took to get ahead. If her name had been Lawrence instead of Loren I doubt if anyone would have thought twice about her behavior or her manner.
She didn't really have a lot of people skills. I guess that goes without saying. I mean she was murdered in January, her body not discovered until April and no one noticed she was missing. It's kind of sad when you think about it. I mean apparently she had no family or friends who cared about her. Everyone should have someone to care about them. Even if it's not a family member. I mean the Colonel doesn't have family but she has Commander Rabb, Lieutenant Sims and Roberts. Nobody noticed that Singer was missing. Not family, not friends, not even the father of the baby.
I wonder what happen to Singer's family. I mean everybody has one. You might not want to have anything to do with your family or they with you but that doesn't mean you don't have one. I heard about this case where a dad was accused of abusing his daughter and scuttlebutt says that Singer helped mom and the kid get away after dad was found not guilty.
I kind of wonder if maybe Singer wasn't in the wrong line of work. I mean I think she would have made a good intelligence officer for the Navy, maybe even for the CIA. She could certainly keep a secret. I mean no one knows anything about her background or has any idea who that little girl's daddy was.
If you think e-mail spreads information fast you ought to try scuttlebutt. When Commander Rabb presided over that case earlier this year I'm not sure he, Commander Turner and the Colonel got back to their offices before the whole building knew she accused the Commander of prejudice because the defendant was an aviator before the trial even started. Yet Lieutenant Singer managed to have a relationship with a married, senior officer that no one knew about and at least one other person besides. I mean since the Commander's brother wasn't the daddy and Commander Lindsay wasn't the daddy there had to be somebody else right? I just think it's amazing that she had these relationships that nobody knew about. Especially the one with Commander Lindsay. He's married and also in the Navy and no one even suspected a thing. If they had the office grapevine would have heard about it. It would have been to juicy of a topic to ignore. Especially after the it was discovered that Loren was pregnant while on the Sea Hawk.
Well one thing's for certain Lieutenant Singer was a mystery and it's probably would have been quite the challenge for someone to figure her out.
