M'Gann awoke from her night terror, shaking with fear and breaking out into a cold sweat. She panted, reminding herself over and over that it had just been a dream. She was safe now. Rolling over in her bed, she glanced at the clock. The red block numbers read 2:45 am. M'Gann groaned. Even though she wasn't from this planet, she knew this was an ungodly early hour, and she should be asleep. But every time she closed her eyes, she would picture the horrible images she'd seen in her nightmare.

By the time the clock read 3:15 am, she'd given up on sleep for the moment, and arose from her bed to get herself a glass of water. She sighed, walking into the dark kitchen, and almost falling over a pair of sneakers, undoubtedly left behind by Robin. She felt her body falling, but suddenly, she was standing upright. Shocked, M'Gann turned around and stood face to face with her teammate, Wally West.

"Heh, careful, beautiful. Wouldn't want you to dent that halo over your head..", Wally replied, a smirk showing on his face even in the dimly lit room. M'Gann snorted at Wally's corny pick up line..he had way too many of those, and headed to the fridge. Being the speedster that he was, Wally was already there, ready to get M'Gann whatever she wanted. "Uhh, just water please, Wally..?", asked M'Gann politely. Wally grinned and poured her a drink with lightning-quick speed. She took it and began sipping it delicately, re-living the horrid nightmare again and again in her head.

Just a dream, just a dream, Hello, Megan! You're safe here with your friends. Nobody will hurt you here…there are no wars…you're just a regular girl..not a white martian…

She was jolted from her thoughts by Wally, who was slamming multiple things onto the counter. She turned to look, and couldn't really see in the dark, so she turned on the overhead light. "What are you doing?", she asked, confused. "Making myself some Midnight PB&J. It's what Barry and I used to do back in the day..want one?" M'Gann looked puzzled. "Come on," said Wally slyly, "It won't kill ya…"

M'Gann sighed and pulled up a stool. She really wasn't in the mood to argue, and she didn't want to disappoint Wally, so she pulled up a chair and sat beside him at the table. She watched as he carefully created the sandwich, his fingers light and delicate. Once he'd finished making both of them, she saw him pick up the knife and begin to cut her sandwich into a strange shape. "Wally..what are you…?"

"Shh!", he placed an index finger on her lips, and revealed the sandwich, which was now cut into a heart. "When Barry and I were done training, Iris would cut our sandwiches into hearts when we weren't looking. And now everytime I make midnight PB&J, I can't help but do it, too." M'Gann grinned at the Speedster, who devoured his sandwich in record time. "Whatever's bothering you, M'Gann", Wally said, placing a hand on her arm gently, "We're all here for you…and I'm actually a good listener. I know I'm the goofy, handsome, adorable speedster…but I can be serious too..if you need me to be."

M'Gann blushed, looking away, unable to meet his gaze. "Thank you, Wally..I appreciate it." He smiled, pecking her on the cheek, and when she turned around to speak to him again, he was gone just as fast as he'd came.

Maybe she would tell Wally about these nightmares. Maybe with his help, she could get past them. Maybe he wasn't as lame as Artemis said he was.

She'd talk to him tomorrow.

M'Gann turned off the light, and headed back into her bedroom, her nightmares now the farthest thing from her mind.
